What are your fitness goals? When I started at Mojo I didn’t really have any fitness goals my focus was on weight lost. After the first few weeks and experiencing what was really really tough become achievable….my fitness goal now is to strive for continuous improvement in strength and fitness levels.

What sports have you played previously and now? Early teen’s swimming,  early twenties played basketball, no competitive sports since then.
What fitness training were you doing before joining Mojo Strength? In the last ten years not a great deal, mainly regular walking with phases of exercise DVD’s and swimming.

Why did you start training at Mojo Strength? I had made up my mind to focus on losing weight once again and the flyer from Mojo came around the same time so I thought instead of attempt this feat on my own yet again…why not give Mojo a try.

How has your life changed since training at Mojo? I have experienced consistent fat loss since I started with Mojo and have lost over 20kg’s in 4 months. I have lost weight before on my own however never like this…it was always fad diets with light exercise. I would lose some good numbers in first few weeks but not be able to sustain the ‘diet’ and then put it back on again  !!!. Tina at Mojo has taught me really good nutrition, I eat lots of really good food that I enjoy, I feel good and it feels sustainable. I have never had consecutive weight loss like this over this many weeks and months and I don’t feel deprived at all. I love the training, l feel strong and fit and I can’t wait to see what I can improve on and achieve with each passing week. With the support, advice, guidance and encouragement from Peter and Tina I feel I have made real change and I am looking forward to keeping the weight off, shifting the next 20kg’s and becoming super fit and strong.

What is it you enjoy about training at Mojo?  There is just so much to enjoy !!!!! The variety of strength and cardio training, it is great to feel not just fitter but also stronger. The intensity and challenge of each session. Pushing and being pushed each session and seeing my capabilities increase. The tailoring of exercises within the sessions to allow for different levels of fitness and capability. The small group training and people who train at Mojo. They are fabulous guys and girls that work hard and provide a great deal of encouragement and inspiration.

Describe training at Mojo: Training at Mojo is awesome, it is tough, challenging and develops strength and fitness levels. The environment is friendly, encouraging and focused. The training caters for all levels of fitness and capability.

Did you feel intimidated or shy when you first came to Mojo Strength?

If yes. What did you do to, or how did you overcome that? Yes I felt both, I was massive and extremely unfit and also felt inadequate; I could hardly get through the warm up in the initial sessions. I had signed up for the trial period and made up my mind to stick out the trial period no matter how I felt. During those first weeks the encouragement and support I received from Peter in the training was very motivating. While my entire body hurt …who knew we have so many muscles : ) ….. I felt great. The people were really genuine and while many were super fit they were all supportive and encouraging and that made a huge difference in helping me overcome my feelings of being inadequate.

Any advice for someone thinking about joining Mojo Strength? If you are genuinely committed and willing to work hard for great results….don’t wait any longer…..start now !!!

Is there anything else you’d like to say? I really enjoy coming to Mojo for  three reasons: 1/ the awesome training and nutrition advice, 2/ the fabulous people and 3/ the great results. Love it !!! Thank you Peter and Tina…you rock !!!

What fitness training were you doing before joining Mojo Strength?

Solo weights and cardio at the gym and long distance road running.

What are your fitness goals?

Increase strength, decrease body fat % and get fitter and healthier generally.

Why did you start training at Mojo Strength?

Wasn’t seeing any real progress training myself – didn’t have enough knowledge about fitness and training, hard to motivate myself and couldn’t maintain gains.

How has your life changed since training at Mojo?

I look better, I feel better – I’ve changed my eating and training habits and I generally feel stronger, fitter and more confident.

What is it you enjoy about training at Mojo?

The people (trainers and participants alike!) – a great bunch of fun and hardworking athletes! The variety is also great – it’s never the same boring routine, there’s always some twist or challenge to every workout.

Describe training at Mojo:

Always intense.  You’re pushed to your reasonable limit every time, there’s no half-baked efforts.  There’s simply no better feeling!

Did you feel intimidated or shy when you first came to Mojo Strength?

If yes. What did you do to, or how did you overcome that?

I felt very welcome starting out.  I was only lacking confidence in the sense that the routine and workouts were unfamiliar.  Didn’t take very long at all to figure it all out.  Peter and Tina make transitioning into training smooth as a baby’s bottom.

Everyone there is also legend.  There’s always great banter and laughs in between sets and workouts.

Any advice for someone thinking about joining Mojo Strength?

There’s no shortcuts, no easy fix – it’s hard work, dedication and patience.

If you’re looking for an overnight miracle, forget it.  There’s no such thing.
If you’re seriously committed to making a positive change towards your fitness, health and wellbeing – don’t hesitate to join.
